You can see the night sky in my teary eyes,
Because I know you have to leave again,
But let’s say you don’t, can we just pretend?
I see your hair strands on my bed,
Two wet spots on the pillow,
From all the tears I could shed.
Yeah, your clothes have soaked much more,
But even crying is worse alone.
Are you going to leave me like that?
Is your heart made of stone?
No sorry I didn’t mean that,
Can I take it all back?
Just promise that you love me still,
And say that you forever will.
Please love me through my blue times, my grey skies, my worst cries,
Just wait a bit and I’ll show you my sunlit smiles.
Sometimes when I’m frowning,
It means that I’m drowning,
Under the weight of things that never happened and never will,
But know that I love you still,
And I probably forever will.

It is the last line that makes this poem so meaningful. Love doesn't die although it may change. Well written
