To be Brave

GenXer Shamrocker ☘️

To be brave. What exactly does this mean? Everyone has a difference of opinion on this it seems. To be brave. What exactly do you do? Well from what I’m beginning to understand it means to speak the gospel for it is the truth. To be brave. Doesn’t mean to hurt someone when you disagree. That in and of itself is an act that’s cowardly. To be brave. You take accountability. You repent and accept the gift of Grace. You try to make amends if it’s possible; you do what it takes. To be brave. Doesn’t mean to carry your past around like luggage. In fact the definition says it means full courage. Courage to let go takes everything inside of you. Allowing Him above to love like only He can do. To be brave doesn’t mean to seek revenge. You forgive and forgive and forgive once again. To be brave. Not as easy as it seems. But with God it’s possible; He finds a way; His promises He keeps.

You have a natural way of using rhyme and near rhyme to hold the interest of the reader in your message. Poetry to me is promoting feeling by the use of words that can be in rhyme or sublime metaphoric or unthought of connections to thought that inspire new ways of looking at something. A write that is powerful and well done.

Erm, yes, easier to go downhill, I suppose, than uphill. And yep, I knows what being brave is - well, I married KP! heehee.

This is strong, GenXer...bravery defined as gospel truth, repentance, forgiveness, courage to let go. The luggage metaphor says it all. True strength rests in grace. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛
