Cries of the World

Cedrick

Congo cries,

yet the world becomes silent.

Sudan bleeds,

but the headlines fade.

Gaza is burning,

but the ruble is ignored.

Ukraine weeps,

yet no hand wipes them away.

You knew,

you just looked away.

Powerful and condemning this poem calls one and all to not just pretend that horrors are not happening but to call out and do something about them. Well written in most poetic form
