Graveyard of Suns

Iris Lynn

Ashen stars dotted across the velvet sky

Emit waves of cosmic radiance that dance on by

But beneath their shimmer lies a silent scream

A graveyard of suns, stitched into a dream

Nebulas weeps in ultraviolet haze

Cradling the ghost of forgotten days

Time folds inward like a dying flame

Erasing the edges of every name

For it is in the night where I hear the broken sounds

The ones who weep when no one is around

Their sorrows drips through the cracks of space

Unheard, unseen, in time’s infinite embrace

A feel of dimed darkness from the start this poem carries a sense of melancholy and sadness, dream like it wanders toward its end. Very nicely done

Thats a great poem! Some brilliant verses in that "time folds inward like a dying flame"! being my favourite great poetry.
