Futility

Keeter C

I know I was blessed with intelligence.

What have I done with it?

Ups and downs they abound.

Wins and losses but any lessons learned?

Guess knowledge does not equal wisdom.

Your mind is a room in which your consciousness bounces around.

Where is common ground?

Who agrees to disagree anymore?

It’s all conflict and disrespect.

I know not how to fix.

Like a roller coaster staring down the first drop.

This is a poem of reflection where the momentum of the ride carries us downward. Well written

Just hope someone sets the air brakes at the station. Thank you.
