Eternity

A piece of luggage

You watched her for years

Never close enough to matter

Never far enough to forget

Not because you thought she was yours

But because you knew she wasn’t

Never a voice to see to you

Always straight through you

Was it something that traveled across the day?

Without ever knowing you

And who's to say you would ever have met?

If it wasn't forthcoming by design

You softened towards her

Where did that get you?

Was it further away from her

Or where you closer to the truth

Take this truth, leave her be

As day travels across your empty plea

And who's to say you would ever have met?

If it wasn't forthcoming by design

You softened towards her

Where did that get you?

Closer to the reason

As you hold her close

Until she almost chokes

A occult divinity

A perfect moment

Trapped for eternity
