Words define your actions.

Friendship

I hold this truth within my heart, a clear and guiding star,
That every word a person speaks defines just who they are.
No idle breath, no passing whim, but substance to uphold,
A bond between the spoken sound and stories to unfold.

For if you make a solemn vow, a promise firm and true,
To lend a hand, to see it done, or see a venture through,
Then let that pledge become a force, a duty to embrace,
A spoken oath, a chosen path, you walk with honest grace.

We each must stand on solid ground, accountable and keen,
For every deed, for every choice, for every single scene.
Our actions are the echoes loud that follow where we've trod,
Reflecting back the very core, before ourselves and God.

To utter words and then recede, to let intentions fade,
Is to unravel threads of trust, a confidence betrayed.
The empty boast, the hollow claim, leaves disappointment deep,
A shadow cast where sunlight ought its faithful vigil keep.

So let your voice be firm and true, your purpose finely spun,
And every task you pledge to do, see faithfully it's done.
For in the space where word meets deed, integrity takes flight,
A life lived whole, a spirit strong, burning ever bright.
