Is It Contagious?.

Poetic Licence

Notice of absence from Poetic Licence
Wishing you all a fantastic Halloween, Guy Fawkes,
Christmas and Happy New Year..

There is a rumour Humanity and Kindness are now contagious.
I could not help thinking that is absolutely outrageous.
People cannot go spreading rumours like that around.
That kind of thing has been known to bring government's down.
I suggest they quickly put there thumbs back in their mouth.
And stop this fake news from being spread further about.
If it happens that all these rumours turn out to be true.
Would you take the antidote or would you let it infect you?.

Now, look, we can't have people thinking too much
They'll get a headache
And what's worse - they're thinking sensibly!
Whatever next? - it shouldn't be allowed!
But me fears, alas, that bad things and evil
Are contagious
Though good can spread too surely

Hmm can we say kindness is contagious ?
What a rhetorical question;
that makes one thinking
Have you heard good spread?
Or people envy good;
Or do good impossible
It is reverse the case
People copy bad
People love evil;
They abhor evil
So to me ;
Let say kindness is not contagious

Change needs to occur and take the centre stages,
An indoctrinated mind is too dumbed down for rages.
Families, ancestors, parents, we're always lied to,
What's real freedom when you live in a human zoo?
Deby slavery is a way for them to make money back,
Taxation, propaganda and capitalism did all that.
I miss old school times which were simpler still,
Read my Bible and listen to Cube's Kill At Will.

There is indeed a strange urge
To indulge in and spread news,
Regardless whether or not it be fake
Or how it will impact others.
People seem to relish in this,
Not realising they could be the next ones.
The grave we dig for others
Might turn our to be our own...

I let someone in front of me in the supermarket queue.
They sneezed, I thought it is contagious they are going to say Thank You.
They just stared at me when they looked back round.
My optimism that it was spreading was bought back down.
So I am still searching for evidence to back up these rumours.
In the meantime in the rudeness I will try to see the humour

In this world it is hard to be kind,
Because kindness is treaded like blindness,
And people put on smiles while in their mind,
They are goring and gorging on you—mindless—
And they say a nice one is hard to find,
Buy maybe that's because seek to find less.

Trying to be polite, contrite, and sublime.
Things gets messy with the right opportunity to strike.
Avoid the flames of the night, sit tight, you'll be alright.
Kindness spreads like a flame through the masses.
As if hurting wasn't the original agenda.
We tear open each other and dance as the organs fall.
Spreading propaganda among the halls.
The roofs of our ancestors cannot contain.
Everything we have endured, if only to be tamed.

    That incident about sneezing
    Reminded me of Covid times...
    Covid was a silent killer,
    A merciless one,
    Unseizable,
    A tyrant that levelled all
    Regardless of rank,
    Of status...
    Even within a family
People feared and mistrusted each other...
    A mere sneezing spread panic.
    Suddenly all love, all attachment,
Everything went up in smoke :
"Did that guy have Covid ?...
Am I going to survive ?...
Yes, yes, I love them a lot,
But I love my own life more,
    Dammit..."
    In China during Covid,
Bodies were roughly grabbed and buried.
Two guys were loading bodies wrapped up completely
And threw them in a van for burial.
    One of them shouted :
"Hey, man, he is still moving !!!..."
"What the heck, man, let's go, let's go !!!..."
    Jeez,
Humanity had come to that !!...
    Dead and dying,
All tarred with the same brush...

It happened in the supermarket two days ago, here it is the start of the flu season, so lots of people are sniffing and sneezing, but I was hoping he had caught my kindness, but to no avail

One is never sure to get kindness. But some virus from a sneeze is more likely to hit... Anyway, we must look at the bright side...

I agree with your point. It was elegantly written with a strong moral opinion. Unfortunately im finding with so many people waiting for the next pandemic, people are psychologically repeating themselves, even though there may not be one.

          Once upon a time
Your words would have been quite true
So their flight from our daily lives
          We can just quietly rue…
          For people are quite envious
And will always pull you down
          For the hungry megalomaniacs
          Have snatched the precious crown
          So evil reigns supreme
And injustice has hurt and maimed
          And by our very silence
We are definitely to be blamed…
          Today it’s rare to find
People who are humane and kind…

I like this repply in poetry. It evokes a power struggle throughout the agars. Nicey put.

Yet whispers linger, soft as morning rain,
That kindness, once planted, will blossom again.
Though shadows are louder and cruelty shouts,
A single good deed can still turn tides about.
If venom is viral, then so is the cure,
A spark in the heart that makes courage endure.

Kindness spreads like flame throughout the masses. Favorite line. Favorite poem.
