Dry Ice

Aman 12

A frostbite hisses through campuses
hailing and inhaling.
Escapes without melting,
halos over, hovers around
flailing and exhaling.

Crystals dangle in pizza boxes,
icicles in chip packets,
hunger satiated to a boiling point.

It doesn't thaw over the laws of phase,
just sublimates on senses.
Taking innocence to a frozen hell.
