Sacred

Davyson F Santos

Where does the path begin,
the life that dreams in waiting?
Until the eyes awaken
and know their own creating.

To rise again,
the endless dream of love.
To hold again,
the waves of fear and sorrow.
To find again,
the spark once lost to shadow.
To join again,
the breath that gives us being.

Listen,
a song still rises
from that forgotten ground.
Walk through the darkened forest
and find the way once found.

Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow
gather by the holy flame.
They drink from Earth’s wild chalice,
protected in the Mother’s name.

O what beauty,
O what sacred sound,
in every note
the eternal song is found.

Who hath ears, let them hear.
Who hath eyes, let them see.
Who hath heart, let them be.

Forget not this:
nothing here is thine.
Thou broughtest naught,
and naught shalt thou take.

Only the love thou receivest.
Only the love thou givest.
