Prom Night

𝓱𝓪𝔂𝓵𝓮𝓲𝓰𝓱

little black heels,

little blue dress,

glittered eyes

lined thick.

how simple is the teenage dream?

simple as it is to be there,

to not be alone,

to raise hell

and smile.

we tore our dresses

and watched as silver smoke

curled into nothing.

I felt like a girl.

"I love you guys!"

me too.

"we're fucking crazy!"

maybe.

"no, we're forever young!"

I hope you're right.

"you guys have to promise me something."

"anything."

Wonderful poem! As for prom, yay! And I concur with Soren. Carpe diem! I'm still with the person I went to prom with. It was hers, as she went to a different school, but great memories! I am sure yours will rock too! Carpe diem indeed! 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛
