One day, Jakey was sitting alone on a bench during lunch, looking really sad. His food had fallen on the ground, now he had nothing to eat. Aada, his kind and cheerful friend, noticed him in the cafeteria.
She walked over and asked gently, “Hi Jakey, why do you look so sad?”
Jakey sighed and said quietly, “I dropped my lunch. I was really hungry, and now I don’t have anything to eat.”
Aada opened her lunchbox. “That’s okay! You can have some of my food,” she said as she handed him a slice pizza and some of her fruits.
Jakey's eyes brightened with surprise. “Aww, thank you, Aada! You really didn’t have to do that.”
Aada shrugged happily. “Friends share, right? I don’t like seeing anyone sad.”
Jakey took a bite and smiled for the first time that day. “You made my day full of happiness,” he said gratefully.
And from that moment, Jakey knew that even small acts of kindness could make a big difference.
