Pay Attention

Joseph M Marion

In quiet moments, still and deep,
The Lord’s soft whispers gently seep,
Into the heart, a sacred call,
To heed His words, to trust them all.

Like morning dew on thirsty ground,
His truths refresh, His love surrounds.
Each phrase a beacon, shining bright,
Guiding souls from dark to light.

Attend with care, let silence grow
For in His voice, the blessings flow.
Not just to hear, but understand,
The wisdom placed by His own hand.

When trials come and shadows fall across the land, His words stand firm, a steadfast wall.
A lamp to feet, a path made clear,
Dispelling doubt, erasing fear.

So OPEN WIDE YOUR HEARTS EYEAND MIND,
Seek the treasures you will find.
In every line, a promise kept,
A love that holds when tears are wept.

PAY CLOSE ATTENTION, do not stray,
For in His words, life’s true way.
A sacred gift, a guiding sword—Forever listen to the Lord

Very nicely written warning to people to follow and adhere to the word of their Lord

I am not a believer, but there's much sincere beauty in your piece.
I appreciate that you don't threaten, only entreat, the reluctant reader. Way too much religious "poetry" becomes vain, aloof, and belittles the sincere wayward like me!
Carry on Joe. I am a fan.

Thank you for the sincerity , I lived in rough life until I gave up my life to him and since then even the dark days are bright
