Bent but not broken

Princess Osariemen Aihie

My twin sister;

My greatest supporter;

The strongest human;

We fought together

We smiled at day time but;

soaked our pillow with tears

Scattered our bed sheets;

because of rolling and thinking

Switching to left and right side of  bed

Switching position;

to switch our sad and happy moments

At day times;

We smiled at the insult;

At night while people sleep peacefully;

We have insomnia;

thinking about those insults;

Making those thoughts look real

We searched search engines;

for straight bodies;

We dreamt of having them;

No it never came true

Thinking this would end ;

after secondary school

because they were kids

No it did not end;

It grew worser in university days;

laughing at our bent bodies

body shamed by them

receiving insults;

calling us weirdos

treated us like strangers;

pretended to like us ;

but posted their negative comments;

on unaware groups

Time grew;

We closed our ears;

to negative thoughts;

became stronger

We are scoliosis warriors

We fight
