Lessons learned in Grief

GenXer Shamrocker ☘️

There are many lessons that grief teaches; so far I’ve got a selected important few. Here inside this poem, I will share them with you:  First lesson learned; not everyone inside your circle will understand. The first week is the hardest. It hits even the toughest woman or man. Second lesson learned while battling this wave of emotions; it’s ok to say “I’m not okay.” And I don’t know where I’m going. Grief is intense and some people leave. Not many can handle the tears, the rawness of grief. Lesson number three; there is no right or wrong way to grieve. Sometimes what’s most important is that you feel your emotions and just be. Lesson number four on this roller coaster ride. How even when you feel lost alone God is right by your side. When you reach the point of acceptance you’ll find you’re not the same as you were before; there’s no way you can be the day grief came knocking on your door. No this part of life is never easy to go through. But God will be sure to take extra care of you. There are many more lessons I’ve learned along the way; the most important of them all is never letting go of my Faith.

GenXer, this piece carries grief’s weight with tenderness and light. The lessons are hard-won but full of hope…you turn mourning into ministry here. Deeply moving, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

A fine write GS. All KP grieves over is if my piggy-bank is empty and I can't give here more money for botox! lol.
