A Few of My Favourite Juxtapositions
It was an umbrella
for sure ..
But she called it her
parasol ..
I called it a tank top
but she
called it a camisole ..
We made
love in the afternoon
as soon as
the rain had stopped ..
Although she
always insisted that
the light
remained turned off ..
Yes one things
for sure, somethings
always got
lost in translation
and life today, seems
to be just one
long pose and a series
of less than
obvious juxtapositions ..

Your poem illustrates how language and perception can create a distance between people, leading to misunderstandings and a sense of loss in translation.
You really are amazing .. I'm so glad to have you on my side and in my corner .. Neville ππ»π
You're very welcome, my friend
This poem has a certain charm that speaks to the realities of life and how things as simple as a different word can create a wedge. Such a perfect title and term. Lovely my friend and a fave
Thank you so much my friend .. Neville ππ

Good juxtas N.
Connotations mean a lot.......... cor, fergit poetry, that could almost be the start of a song.... did use the term 'almost'....
Advice to get out more duly noted, Neville.....

I Try not to miss, despite time zones..
Can ya beat a juxta like ya can beat an egg? And what am I on about? You're rambling again, says Fido to me! lol.
Juxt between you n me I reckon your more barmy than a barm cake .. I dunno how Fido puts up with you π§π
Neville, this is smart, intimate writingβ¦wordplay and desire folding into one rhythm. You turn misunderstanding into connection, and thatβs its own kind of poetry. Loved it, my friend. πΉπ€ππ―οΈπ¦ββ¬
