Missing you

William Hromada

When I am missing you, a void takes hold,

An aching hollow, silent, deep, and cold.

No light can warm, no star can still,

This empty space that only you can fill.

I hear your voice, a gentle, soothing stream,

It weaves through shadows, waking every dream.

My heart grows quiet, chaos finds release,

Your words, my haven, bring me boundless peace.

With you, my soul finds where it longs to roam,

In every breath, I feel at last at home.

Your presence mends the fractures of my day,

And in your love, I find my truest way.

What is love but a dependence an addiction that one feels the withdrawal of. A most lovely poem
