What I Know Now...

fob.lina

Now, let's be honest

As much as I wish I had the knowledge I have now,

Back then, I would've rejected it.

Why?

Because I wasn't ready to hold it.

Dwelling on the past does nothing.

Harboring old feelings,

just takes up space.

To be truly free, you put in the work

& when lessons are learned?

You forgive.

Forgive yourself, & know that you weren't wrong,

you just didn't have the tools for this mission.

Forgive others, holding it against them your whole life

leads to nothing but heartache & resentment.

You can't heal until you let it go.

Something no one wants to hear,

But something you must do.

You don't have to forget, but you definitely need to come to terms.

No longer keeping the ties that don't serve you.

A great message in this poem. I am working on one with the same theme but it has a way to go still. Keep up the good work
