They give praise
To the average
The pioneer goes
Unheard
High up on
The precipice
Heart beats
The soul versed.
Tiny rhymes
Words fallen down
Praise the bland
Fools abound
While greatness
In giant steps
Is left ignored
In blindfold kept.
From povertys prison
Genius handcuffed
To a fires dying ember
In Winters ruthless thrust
The roaring fireside
Of mediocrity glows
The dying lips of talent
Overthrown.

Praise the breath of poetic blandness cloaked in proper politeness .
Exactly, the world seems to prefer the average that doesnt offend or question
The common taste is not for caviar but fish and chips. Cheap champagne fills the corner stores. A lovely write full of satire
thanking you, its so true these days, spot on comment
You are most welcome
There are so many greats who will never be known. Well done!
thanking you, you nailed it spot on, much appreciated
Amen. Just good enough has been promoted, the bar of accomplishment lowered way too many times. What happened to pride of workmanship, where went the craftsmen? Very tice work here.
perfect assessment, thanking you and much appreciated
Excellent!
most kind, thanks and much appreciated
Pioneers in the innovators are always overlooked by those who conform. Nicely done
thanking you, much appreciated
and so it is with so many geniuses - their true worth is recognized much too late, when they cannot enjoy the fruits of their labour..
