Glimmers in my Window

William Hromada

The glimmers dance upon my pane,

A soft cascade of silver rain.

Each fleck of light, a whispered clue,

And in their glow, I see you.

The morning hums with tender grace,

Your shadow weaves through time and space.

A spark, a gleam, a fleeting hue,

In every beam, I see you.

The glass holds secrets, soft and thin,

Where dreams and daylight gently spin.

No words are spoke, yet all is true,

My heart takes note—I see you.

The world beyond may ebb and sway,

But glimmers hold you through the day.

In every spark, my soul breaks through,

And in the light, I see you.

I love the format and form of this poem with its repeated refrain (I see you). Very nicely set on a rainy day for a wistful and sad mood in missing someone. A fave

  • Friendship

Well written, your poem "Glimmers in my Window" revolves around the deep emotional connection between the speaker and a significant other. It captures the essence of love and longing, as well as the ephemeral nature of memories and presence.
