Ignorance

Priya Tomar

playing in the lap of dreams

Adorned by silver beams

Eyes deserve the nursury rhyme

As if they stole Italian wine .

Seeing the picture in album

When will my papa come

Putting knife on sweet cake

Promises papa always break .

Oil of pain in the lamps of eyes

Papa will come , no more cries

Mumma , sing a saucy song

Why silence , what's wrong ?

She enjoys her innocence

In  the dark veil of  ignorance.

Priya, this one aches softly…the child’s voice so pure it hurts. The innocence makes the heartbreak sharper. You’ve painted absence with tenderness. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛
