My breath and yours beckons each other in life and death,
In this mortal realm, with virtue at the helm,
My love I cherish you and your beauty true,
Your soul is like the sun, it lights the darkness, the night comes from,
And brings a moment of true peace, into my mind put into ease.
I will never ask the reasons why, my soulmate with tears I cry,
Why my love for you will never die.
And last as long as the burning stars, mingle in the deep of space,
Burning, turning, guiding all the human race.

A pledge in a poem, words of love spoken. Nicely worded the message is clear and I hope that the lover hears
Beautifully heartfelt. I'm liking how the imagery moves from breath to stars, tying love to both the intimate and the cosmic. It reads like a vow that stretches beyond life itself, which makes the closing lines especially powerful.
Well said, a powerful poem.
