Supercelestial

rust

I write freely

Think by the second, then think in the air

riding a gust of wind shaken by the flash of wings

Aerial, like the whisper of birds.

To live suspended, listen to the noise of the million feathers crackling in the night.

Lightning for a symphony.

I have a might that kills!

I’ll tear the sky open, burn holes in the paper clouds

to make space for the stars.

Place, and displace

Move and remove

I am a part of this great whole and I wait to be swallowed.

For me to float, tied to a trail of smoke snaking

out of a house in the cityline.

To be constantly and fiercely in motion.

Time won’t catch me!

Time won’t slow my flight!

I wield direction like a blade.

Place and displace.

Move and remove.

Claim the paradox.

And then I’ll breathe freedom, and I’ll throw it back to you.
