I See You

William Hromada

When I see you, my heart skips a beat,

Wondering what I did to earn such a feat.

Your smile, your grace, a gift so divine,

How did fate make you forever mine?

What stars aligned, what prayers were heard,

To weave our paths with love’s gentle word?

Your laughter’s a melody, your touch pure light,

I’m blessed beyond reason when you’re in my sight.

Did I stumble on luck, or was it meant to be,

That someone like you could belong with me?

In your eyes, I find a world so true,

Every day I’m grateful—my heart belongs to you.

A proclamation of love in this poem with metaphor and rhyme it sings out. Nicely written
