THE SEA OF TREES

Amy Michelle Mosier

A wall of leaves, the sea of trees -

A verdant blanket on the hills

That stretches out endlessly -

Uninterrupted for miles.

My body wearies from travel;

I'm of a strange territory.

I know something of you all

But you don't recognize me.

Now I'm arrived for what I seek

And could not expect afar.

Won't you be as kith - oh, trees -

And provide me some shelter?

Your swarm is a soft embrace;

Your stance - admirable;

So many gathered in one place

That're loved and beautiful.

    Beautiful treating trees and forest as if friend and relation that provide shelter. Very nature related. Well done

      Thank you. There is a lot of forest just one hour north of Phoenix.

        Have lived around forest all my life and count it as my home. You are most welcome
