at the start

Noah Malice

it is further beyond you
than the moon pulls the sea
than the earth pulls the moon
than the pull itself we call gravity.

and further beyond you
than shimmer of stars in the sky
from a million years ago
grains of a story lost to time.

if you could go out there
and see it how it was
written in the beginning
in the heavens above.

the impression that remains
that you feel in your heart
is what would be there
at the very start.

Here in this poem the vastness of time and space is imaged and well done as well.
