Yearning

Settes

I was thinking of my brother

Wondering what he would say

If he was here with me today

I was thinking of my brother

Wondering what he would do

But I haven´t got a clue

I was thinking of my brother

Wondering what he would think

If he was here too

I wonder

Why do I wonder

Why don´t I know

Why were the sweetest things I have ever said

Reserved for that moment

In coma, in bed

His mind unopened

Why at that moment, so sad

Indulged in self-pity, at his bed

The machine wasn’t bothered

Performed its task, it smothered

And then, in that instant

It bridged my distance

Yet, he was further away

Than he could ever have been
