My fault

Maplespal

It's my own fault for being alone,
it has me walking by myself home.
My shadow follows like a copied clone,
as my thoughts around this roam.
Taking looks towards my left and right sides,
empty handed silently I walk ahead.
Slipping in and out my emotions try to hide,
remembering the last words to me she said.
"If one more time you drink yourself to bliss,
this face you won't be going home to see,
no more hugs, no more welcoming kiss.
It's alone you will come home to be."

It was fair warning, after all.
