Ghost Child

NinjaGirl

Only seen in mirrors

where the reflection

is idealistic.

Can barely grasp

any real thing

of the place they live.

Wanders aimlessly

scaring and scared

for nobody to see.

Scaring and scared... perfect description of our imagined (or real?) ghosts... kind of like a rat... scares us to death but is more scared of us than we are of it. The ghostly being is as vulnerable as it is powerful... as confused as it is aggressive.

There are people like this who have not formed their identity and do not see who they are. Then again being the season it could speak of ghosts or vampires that supposedly can not see their reflection. Nicely composed it has a haunting feeling.

well written, my friend. Your poem "Ghost Child" explores themes of isolation, identity, and the struggle for recognition in an increasingly disconnected world. The ghost child symbolizes a feeling of being unseen and misunderstood, existing in a state of limbo between reality and reflection.🐀
