To fly, is to fall

Georgia Watson

To fly, is to fall:

I stand tall,

I could scream at the top of my lungs.

But I don’t think anyone would hear me,

I dream of when days were better.

If they ever could be like that again.

To fly, is to fall,

To fly, is to fail,

To fly, is to wish you had never jumped.

But you jumped.

You jumped.

If you could start over again, would you?

Would you have reason to?

To do the same things?

To go through the same things?

To say and do the same things, over and over?

You wanna change it,

But you know what?

You can’t.

To fly, is to fall,

To fly, is to fail,

To fly, is to wish you had never jumped.

But you jumped.

You jumped.

To fly, is to fall.

To fly, is to fail.

To fail.

You failed.

A sad poem of perceived failure that needs to be looked at from another perspective.. A wonderful write about how we second think.

  • Tristan Robert Lange

This reads like a confession echoing off canyon walls...failure reframed as proof of courage. You remind us that even falling means we once had the will to rise. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛ Very well done, Georgia!
