And good luck to you anyway

Norman Flagtea

The road not taken
thank you very much
is full of potholes
cracks and rusty road signs
I even forget the number
just that it runs
east to west
west to east
there goes the odd truck
some motorbikes
nothing much
and of course
they don't know
that they are on your
road not taken
you can still go down there
after all your roads
and bridges, highways,
turnpikes, beltways,
gravel roads, back streets
but you know already
that it doesn't make a difference
tempi passati
and good luck to you
anyway

It's a road I would take. A lovely write that has a feel of nostalgia and and a wistful sense. Nicely written

Thank you very much, SB. I felt nostalgic too. But there are always new roads...

        You are most welcome

A brave poet who takes Robert Frost on and makes a tune of his own....
        Great read.

Thank you, for the friendly comment, Dave. I did take THE ROAD NOT TAKEN out of the woods and onto some old highway. And good luck to you anyway...
