Thank you for your kind words and friendship; however, I must take a temporary leave of absence for several months to provide care and support to a friend, out of state.❤️
The hours rush like rivers fast,
And moments that appear to last
Are sudden shifts of light and shade,
A fragile tapestry we've made.
So lift your gaze from tasks untold,
And count the treasures that you hold.
The souls who stand within your sun,
Whose silent loyalty is won
By time and truth and quiet grace—
Give them the honor of their place.
Don’t let appreciation wait,
Don’t seal the words behind the gate.
For time is not a guaranteed loan,
And seeds of sorrow may be sown
When tender sentiments are kept,
For fears or duties that are swept
Into the corner of the mind,
Leaving the gentle touch behind.
Tomorrow is a hazy shore,
A whisper breathed, and nothing more.
The safety that we think we claim
Can vanish like a candle flame.
So let your thanks be clear and deep,
A harvest that your heart can keep.
Look in their eyes and let them see
The weight of what they are to thee.
For in this now, this fading light,
We find the beauty of the might
Of human love, while it is near;
Hold it and praise it—hold it here.

A beautiful poem of recognition and gratitude for those things and relationships we have at the moment. Time waits for no man and we have no idea what tomorrow holds. A word unsaid is as good as dead. Too late tomorrow when time has past and the opportunity lost. A wonderful poem of seize the moment and let those that are important know how one feels. Very nicely done in good meter and great rhyme it flows.
I thank you for stopping by and reading my poem, my friend, and most of all for your kind words.😊
You are most welcome Friendship
A fine write F, but my (daft) problem is that I can never find 'tomorrow'. When it gets here, it's always 'today' Hmmm. Heehee.
Time waits for no man or woman, and regrets maybe few.
I think we're all guilty of not saying the words, and I don't doubt time has run out for plenty who wished they had.
So definitely a great lesson for people before the sands run out.
Friendship, this one glows from within. “Tomorrow is a hazy shore” and “hold it and praise it—hold it here”...those two lines mirror the heart of it: gratitude alive in the now. A gentle masterpiece, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
You are a fantastic writing talent friendship
The rhyme and flow take the reader on a effortless journey they hope won't end
And as always
