Letting Go

Lheom

In abundance, of a portion of my life, remain a few dandy follies.
Among my many feats, lie uncountable dilly-dallies.
But what is it even to a heart of a wanderer?
Who says little, but is an avid ponderer??
To sum it up in a single jingle,
Let's see one, disentangle:

Much to be said...
Words, unuttered.
Thoughts in my head?
Rose, but denounced.

Wherever I looked,
My eyes, vested.
Wherever I touched,
I felt, rejected.
Wherever I breathed,
The air, suffocated.

It is as if nature wished
I would cease to exist
But the world would go on
Ignoring it's request

Much to be said
Remember I told?
Though many there are words,
Yet none seem to fit into my accords.

How does one go on to live like this
What drives them to be so adamant?
Art, Poetry, Nature, Love, Religion
What truly sustains life, to keep hope dormant?
In my case, all of these 5 avail,
But a 6th quite prudent, also prevails.
Some call it Peace, Some call it Ignorance.
But for me, it is Letting Go-
Of emotions, people, places, things
Wherever these two words would cling.

Two simple words, yet such power they wield.
If only we knew better our hearts would've been healed.
But alas! We are human, slaves to our own naivete.
The moment we realize, from then on we cannot pivot.

Listen, my dear friend,
What I wish for you to know
Today is coming to an end,
I must hurry back & lay low.

Do not doubt me
Do not belittle me
Do not sympathize me
Do not misunderstand me
And lastly, Do not hurt me.
For the world will always do them better than you.
And it will do it over & over again, till I can't take it on.

But if you join in dear friend, I would have it call it quits.
For nothing truly stings the heart, when a dear friend omits.

A strong message in this poem. Whether you call it letting go or forgiving oneself or others it is a key to happiness and being free of the weight of anger, hatred, regret, sadness over loss or not getting what one wants. A very important message.
