“Don’t get me wrong, Mother —
I love you,
I empathize with you,
But I pray,
In every universe,
I never end up
With a mother like you.”

Erm, might I get you wrong?! lol.
Sad but also humorous in the way that it is stated. A dark statement of discontent. Nicely done.
Would be interesting to know more, or perhaps less as in "“Don’t get me wrong, Mother — I love you, I empathize with you, but I pray I never end up a mother like you.”
Haha I guess I have already written a lot about it. And I could still write so much more, something summarizing felt better.....
