Fully Forsaken, Not So Divine

Tristan Robert Lange

Notice of absence from Tristan Robert Lange
Life is full of seasons. This is a season of transition for me, where I will be moving with my family to a new location. As such, with much logistics to consider, I am doing my best to keep up. Please know if I accidentally don't respond, it is not because I am ghosting or becoming distant. Once things settle after the move, I am sure life will return to some normalcy. In the meantime, and always:

Tristan πŸŒΉπŸ–€πŸ™πŸ•―οΈπŸ¦β€β¬›
Against stripping the divine of humanity.
Religious zeal celebrates anathema.
Intelligence exiled by indomitable ignorance.
Universally considered a heretic;
Still, creeds concede his ultimate concern.

  • Comment from author about the poem: For Scorched Sunday. Part of the Scorched Strays series. An acrostic reflection on faith’s fault lines β€” where conviction becomes condemnation. This piece wrestles with how fear of heresy can scorch truth itself. (And, as Athansius used to like to say, β€œAnathema Day keeps the heretic away.” 😏)

    A great acrostic poem that is heavy and dark it speaks cryptically yet reaches through the barriers of the guarded mind. Well done my friend.

        You are most welcome Tristan

        Well said, my friend. Your poem explores the tension between religious dogma and the essential humanity of the divine, suggesting that rigid belief systems often reject individual understanding and insight. It highlights the struggle of thinkers who challenge established beliefs and the resistance they face.

          Indeed! Thank you so much, my friend! So glad this delivered. You've nailed the tension perfectly. Not a rejection of Jesus' divinity, as Arius' argument was characterized, but rather a rejection of stripping Jesus of his humanity. Yet, Athanasius made sure Arius would be anathematized. Fun stuff! Sometimes there is no hate like Christian love. Sad, but true. Not how Jesus wanted it, but we're human. Thank you again, my friend, for your time, thoughts, and support. Always appreciated. πŸ”₯πŸ•―οΈπŸ“œπŸ™

                  You certainly seem to give the religious or those enmeshed in a faith a run for their money. The tension would be excruciating. Really glad I don't feel involved, Tristan

                    Hahaha! Well, being one enmeshed in faith myself, I figure it’s fair game! 🀣 It’s wild what gets justified by β€œgood” people in the name of dogma. That sort of thing needs exposing...from all sides, really. Thanks, Dave. I always value your take and support my friend. Truly appreciated, my friend. πŸ–€πŸ™πŸŽβ˜ οΈ
