The Days

Ladywithaquill

Honey, today the day was not kind to me.

The wind pierced through me like shards of ice,

My path was covered in piles of dead leaves,

The sky was almost as dark as the thoughts,

That cause a storm in my mind.

Come home to me,

I need you.

Darling, today the day had a gentle warmth.

The cool breeze softly caressed my face,

My path was decorated with crunchy leaves,

In all the colours that autumn can be.

Colours almost as bright as my smile.

Come home to me,

I want you.

A poem that is a plea for love. Nicely written.

Thank you. I wrote it about wanting to be with the one you love through good days and bad days. They make both better.

Indeed they do. You are most welcome
