A VIOLENT DAY

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

The rain reminded me
Of pigtails crying
Intertwined
Within the wind
The clouded sky
Cramped  with gray
An angry  face
A dismal day.

Red bricks soaked
Windows tainted
Battered doors
Paint flaking
Passing cars
Throwing spray
Upon the walking
A violent day.

Autumns kiss
Lips to press
Upon the wishful
Thoughts suppress
Another season
One more year
Since you left
An angered tear.

Set on a tearful day, sky's face of grey it can not help but be melancholy. The metaphor is nicely painted and the ending foreshadowed. Well done

A seasonal urban atmosphere that makes you long for the hereafter !
