The Pirate and His Ocean

Lu

A pirate loves the water

Floating on through the ocean

The gentle rock of the boat

Calms him

But all “nice” things

Must come to an end

His ship

Goes through storms

Almost daily

With the rain and the wind

Rocking his ship

Back and forth

He tries to steer through

The big waves

Of mood swings

The treacherous lightning

Of insults

But gets hit with them

By force

The waves crash onto

The deck of his ship

Cracking the wooden floors

But he treads forth

Stubbornly

Despite the storm

He moves forth

Keeping his head up

When no one else did

Despite the harsh weather

Nearly killing him

Then when the sun arises

And the storm clouds drift away

And the waves calm

He made it through

The storm

Barely

Rough seas for those that don't comply, termed pirates. A fun read
