Always My Child.

Kosmichos

God took you, from me this day
My world went cloudy, the sky went grey.

No one I blame, still it’s unfair
Because my heart, with you did share.

My child, although you never came
I’ll love you dearly, all the same.

I knew you only a few short weeks
And never got to kiss your cheeks.

I never got to hold you tight
Or read a book, kiss you goodnight.

Get to tuck you into bed
Or gently kiss you on your head.

Change your nappy, clean your poo,
This I’ll never get to do.

Watch you grow, sing you a song
Or prove to you, that l was strong.

Share your joys, your pain, your tears
Or get the chance to calm your fears.

To have you one day, call me dad,
See you happy or see you sad.

I wish I got to have the chance
To teach you life, teach you to dance.

The art of life, the world we live,
Of all the joys, to learn to give.

To get to see you, as you grew
Your heart, your mind, I wish I knew.

But know now this, my child, my friend,
That this will never be the end.

For in my thoughts you’ll always be
You’ll always mean the world to me.

So rest my child, go now be free,
Just don't forget, your loved by me.
