Sorry

William Hromada

I’m sorry, my Black Diamond, for the storm I stirred,

Words or deeds that left you blurred.

Anxiety’s weight, I didn’t mean to send,

Overwhelm’s grip, I wish I could mend.

My heart’s intent was never to pain,

But to lift you up through sun or rain.

Forgive my misstep, my thoughtless part,

Let’s calm the waves and soothe your heart.

I’m here to listen, to hold, to stay,

To chase the shadows and fears away.

With you, I’ll learn, I’ll grow, I’ll try,

To bring you peace, no more to cry.

An apology in poetic form that speaks of asking for forgiveness for unintended harm done. Well written it sets the tone and leaves a feeling of sorrow behind.
