Walking in Love

gray0328

Father, I choose to walk today,

to live within the breadth of love,

a gift too vast to comprehend,

a grace too high to stand alone.

I tried with trembling human strength,

but my steps faltered, slipped, undone;

your promise steadies the frail resolve,

your word, a song beyond the dust.

Through Christ, your son, power flows,

not mine, but his; I rise renewed.

The world pulls hard with fleeting charms,

but your love roots where storms collide.

Teach me this path, the endless stream,

where mercy dwells in steadfast forms;

I walk, not broken, but held aloft,

your hands the sky beneath my feet.

    A most poetic profession of trust and faith. This poem speaks of belief in a higher power that will sustain and care for the follower. Nicely said Gray
