A million ways
Still I didn’t touch you
Counting the days
For my next chance
To see your face
Admiring you from a distance
My eyes screaming your name
Are you secretly doing the same?
With agonizing patience
I wait for the stars to align
For you to give me a sign
“You look beautiful tonight”
My shy lips shape in your presence
Just a gentle wisp remains
Swallowing this innocent sentence
Choosing the silence once again
Sure, it could be that easy
But I question every unspoken word
Don’t want to sound creepy
Nor be the one that gets hurt
Still I care about you deeply
Caught in this web by choice
Woven from the sound of your voice
Every string sparkles georgeously
Dewdrops, representing your mind
Cardinal directions
On the moral compass I like
Spinning out of control
Pointing at me, then pivoting astray
You are pulling me in
By pushing me away
So close to finally touch you
But with every step I take towards
You try to scare me off
Punish me for handing you my love
Yes, I cried
I'm confused
And far from alright
Every time I feel your spark
I offer you my fragile heart
But you repell love
Like it was acid rain
And here I stand
Once again

A beautiful poem of unrequited love. So nicely done
