A Glance Away

EchoCanvas

Between the crowd and quiet air,
Two souls paused — unaware.
No words were spoken, none were planned,
Yet eyes met, like waves to sand.

He looked once, she looked away,
Fate played softly, in its own way.
Moments slipped, yet lingered still,
In hearts that bent to an unknown will.

She wondered — does he even know?
That silence too, can overflow?
He wandered too, with thoughts confined,
A thousand things he left behind.

In a world of rush, brief yet deep,
Their gaze — a promise neither could keep.
Maybe someday, in some quiet place,
They’ll smile again… and time will retrace.
