Female lawlessness by Ida Stupelman

Ksey_Gan

And in my purse – chaos and disorder, bedlams,

The keys to happiness, lip gloss, a notebook.

Therein lies a woman's secret, a riddle of riddles,

Which men cannot understand in look .

We adjust a lock of hair in the shop window,

Lingering our gaze on the lace lingerie wedge,

Not because we are vain and naive widow,

But simply because we feel like a goddess on land.

We paint our lips scarlet like sunsets,

And our heels click on the pavement like thunder.

Not to conquer more a hundred hearts,

But to whisper to ourselves: "I am a queen in wonder!”

We drink martinis by the window, with an olive,

And think about eternity and our dreams.

And let them say that feminine naivety is for live

Caprice, weakness, and lipstick on the lips.

But in this weakness lies great hidden strength

In the nature  ability to love, forgive, and create.

And every tear, that falls from eyes woman’s,

Is capable of absoring an entire world within its gate.

So, girls, let's boldly apply our lipstick,

Let's take everything we can from life!

There are no limits to femininity trick,

And we simply won't betray it enough.

A fun read of the feminine side punctuated with sunset and thunder. Well done
