Is it not
The same moon
That we both
Look at tonight ?
My cigarette smoke
In the wind
Rising gently
In twilight.
Is it not
The hearts that beat ?
Now distant
Far away
A steady
Beating drum
That promised
To always stay.
Is it not
Deep memory ?
Hot breath
Interwined
Stars in the sky
Broken vows we made
The wisping clouds
To say goodbye.

Hypnotic, wistful yet dark, nostalgic yet looking beyond, a lovely poem with melancholic tones that is pensive and calm. A fave
most kind, thanking you and much appreciated
My pleasure my friend
