The agreement.

Andrew Deaton

I'm only in competition with my old self.

I would smoke and drink to forget the day.

Now sober i live higher and higher than ever before.

Living day by day.

No more apathy.

No old ways.

I have beaten myself with no regrets.

To be impeccable with my word.

To not take things personal.

To not make assumptions.

I will be my very best.

Interesting how we are our own worst critics impregnated with the ideas of parents and society we accept and rebel. A good poem with a message.
