Backseat, Economic Class

Gewar

I looked at you looking at her,
A captured copy of yourself.
A tiny screen inside your hands
Has taken you so far away.

You let me travel by your side,
Showed me a landscape of your past.
I watched you visit every site
From backseat, economic class.

Your head was heavy in my arms,
But it has lifted heavy hearts.
I hope you travel well, and safe,
As you are slipping into the night.
