Dread and Damnation

Notice of absence from NinjaGirl
Hi everyone! I have been gone for a while, I don’t know if any of you all have noticed, but I apologize for not leaving a notice anyway. I will be gone for a while. I am not done writing poetry, and I have not given up. But I will be away for some time. I expect to return around 2028. Not sure if any of you guys will see this, but thank you for reading my poetry. Please do not worry, I will be okay! I look forward to returning!

And the blood drips out

stains the sheet and the ground

So you're defined by what happened long ago

And the judgement is there

slipping out of their clever tongue

So you sit in silence and beg for a different life

And your sins are as scarlet

solidly they sit so you cry out for change

So your sins are made to be as white as snow

A poem of symbolism where sins red as blood stain and tears of contrition atone removing the stain. Nicely done
