My Biggest Fight? My Mind.

Anahiii

Thoughts come racing in,

again and again.

Quiet

thoughts, thoughts, thoughts.

No way to fight

the voices spinning in my head,

trying not to believe

the lies the evil one whispers.

I try to run,

but they follow close behind.

I scream

“Lies, lies, lies!”

Then I remember

there’s power in Jesus.

He calms my mind,

and at last,

the storms are gone.

Jesus. Jesus. Jesus.

Whoa

how great You are.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This poem speaks to the daily battle that happens within. the war between truth and lies, peace and chaos. It’s about those moments when your mind feels loud, restless, and filled with thoughts that don’t align with God’s truth. The fight isn’t always something people can see it’s the quiet struggle to silence fear, doubt, and deception. But in the midst of that noise, the name of Jesus brings calm. His presence silences the storm and reminds us that He holds authority over every anxious thought and every lie the enemy tries to whisper. This poem is a declaration that even when your biggest fight is in your mind, victory is found in Jesus.
