The Glory of the Women in Blue

Adiii

No one believed in them — they believed in themselves.

No one cheered for them — they cheered for themselves.

No one supported them — they supported each other,

So that one day, a daughter could proudly ask her mother:

“Maa, can I play professional cricket like my brother?”

Because that dream — of winning the World Cup of cricket by the women’s team — just turned real,

Just like those real endless struggles each one of them faced in childhood,

With infinite taunts and countless bashings —

Now forever buried deep down,

After seeing those lovely photos with the golden cup in their hands, shining and dashing.

Society never saw cricket as a sport for the female child to play,

But their hard work shattered this myth — no more worries, no more delay.

The whole of India will now celebrate their glory and welcome them with treats,

But their only wish was to see the audience cheering for them from those empty seats.

If your daughter lifts the bat and says, “I want to become a cricketer one day,”

Just remember — she can be the next Harmanpreet Kaur,

Lifting the World Cup trophy for India someday. 🏏🇮🇳

The question still lingers — will Indians now finally start to fully support them in their every match and tournament after this glory,

Or will this achievement get forgotten after a few days, repeating the same old story?
